Join Stan for a relaxed Raku firing morning. We’ll glaze our work together, then fire it in the Raku kiln and enjoy the smoke, flames and wonderfully unpredictable surfaces that make Raku so exciting.

Because of summer fire restrictions, these are our last Raku days until the weather cools down, so book in soon.

Before you come

• Use Raku clay. You’ll need to buy your own. We have Feeneys Raku White and Raku Gold available in 1kg blocks at the front of the studio.

• Keep pieces to 1kg or less. Each piece should use no more than 1kg of clay.

• Bisque fire your work before the day. Pieces must already be bisque fired when you arrive. Our bisque firing usually takes about a week, so drop your work in early.

Good to know
Raku pieces are decorative only and not functional. They aren’t suitable for food, drink.

We provide glazes, firing materials, and guidance on the day.
