What happens when the course ends?
For many people, that’s when pottery becomes part of life.
Mayfield is a welcoming, light-filled studio in Abbotsford, open to every maker. There's no course to finish first and no experience required. Whether you've just finished a course elsewhere, you're teaching yourself, or you have an established practice, you'll have space to make, experiment and grow at your own pace, alongside a generous community of fellow makers.
Studio Membership
$245 / month with personal equipment and clay storage
$200 / month without personal equipment and clay storage

Clay, firing and materials are paid as you use them. Full membership is capped at 25 so the studio stays calm, spacious and supportive, and there's always room to work.
Before You Join
Membership is for independent studio use rather than formal tuition. While everyone is responsible for their own work, materials and safety, we're a friendly, supportive community and are happy to help newcomers find their feet and share knowledge along the way.

Casual Drop-In Access
No booking, no course and no commitment. Just turn up during studio hours and make at your own pace.
You'll only ever pay the lowest price for the time you stay. Two hours is $32, and from the third hour the $40 session rate applies, up to $55 for the whole day.
You're welcome to use the shared studio shelving for work in progress. Clay, glazes and firing are paid as you use them, and instruction isn't included, though fellow makers are always happy to help. When the studio is busy, members have priority at the wheels.
Coming more than four times a month? Membership from $200 a month works out cheaper.
Studio Credit
Pay $350, get $400 of studio credit
For makers who come regularly but not on a set schedule. That extra $50 is almost a free full day. Use your credit for casual studio time at the usual rates, however long you stay.

- Credit is for studio time. Clay and firing are paid separately as you use them
- Valid for 6 months from purchase
- Decide to become a member? Any unused credit goes towards your first month
- Makes a lovely gift for the potter in your life
Studio credit is available to buy at the studio. Just ask next time you're in.

NDIS Studio Access
Mayfield welcomes NDIS participants who would like access to a calm and creative ceramics studio.
To get started, send us an email. We'll get back to you to arrange times that suit, talk through any support you'd like, and sort out invoicing.
Participants are welcome to attend independently or with their own support worker. We're happy to invoice NDIS participants where appropriate.
