These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings, studio access, memberships/subscriptions, storage subscriptions, gift vouchers, and all services provided by Mayfield Street Studios (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking, subscribing, attending, or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Bookings and payments

  • Bookings are confirmed once payment is received (unless otherwise stated).

  • Prices are listed in AUD and may change from time to time.

  • We may refuse service where required for safety, legal, or operational reasons.

2. Class attendance and participation

  • Participation in classes and studio activities is at your own risk.

  • You agree to follow studio rules, safety instructions, and staff directions at all times.

  • We may remove participants who behave unsafely, disruptively, or disrespectfully. In these cases, refunds are generally not provided.

3. Cancellations, reschedules, and refunds (classes & events)

  • If you cannot attend, please notify us as early as possible.

  • Our cancellation/reschedule terms are as follows:
    4 days notice for cancellation or at the discretion of the studio.

  • If we cancel a class/event, you will be offered a reschedule, credit, or refund (at our discretion and consistent with Australian Consumer Law).

4. Studio access (casual or subscription)

  • Studio access is available only during published access hours and may be subject to capacity limits.

  • Access hours, inclusions, and availability may change from time to time due to operational needs. Where practical, we will provide advance notice.

5. Subscriptions and recurring payments

  • Subscription payments are recurring and billed automatically at the frequency stated at purchase.

  • You are responsible for ensuring your payment details remain current.

  • If a payment fails, access or benefits may be paused until payment is successful.

Pausing or cancelling subscriptions

  • Subscription changes (pause/cancel) must be made via [your process/link/email].

6. Storage boxes and items left at the studio

  • Storage is available only to customers with an active storage subscription (where applicable).

  • Items must be labelled with your name.

  • Unsubscribed or unlabelled items may be removed after reasonable notice.

  • We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal items stored on site, to the extent permitted by law.

7. Kiln firings, glazing, and works

  • We take care with your work, however ceramics involves inherent risks (cracking, warping, glaze results, firing issues).

  • We do not guarantee outcomes and are not liable for loss or damage due to inherent ceramic processes, to the extent permitted by law.

8. Gift vouchers and credits

  • Gift vouchers/credits may be used as stated at time of purchase.

  • Voucher terms: use within one year of purchase.

  • Unused credits are non-refundable unless required by law.

9. Photography and marketing

  • From time to time, we may take photos or videos in the studio for marketing.

  • If you prefer not to be photographed, please tell a staff member and we will respect this.

10. Communications (email and SMS)

  • By providing your contact details, you may receive communications relating to your bookings, subscriptions, or important studio updates.

  • Marketing communications are only sent where you have opted in.

  • For SMS, you can opt out at any time by replying STOP.

11. Liability and Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss.
